I recieved the webcam below from a friend today in a a bag of junk. Unfortunately there was no driver disk included and her doesn’t have one for it. The webcam itself is black , with no identifying features except for those show in the picture.
Is no make, model or serial number and no markings to reveal who the manufacturer may be. The only identifying markings are the words “MSN Messenger” on the side and “MSN” on the front. The lens has the following: “640×480 dpi Super AMT pro SERIES Lens = 35 fps -”.
Any help in identifying the camera, or a link to some drivers for it would be greatly appreciated!
Hmm. No brand, o manufacturer. I suggest you get a new webcam. Life will be so muxh easier IMHO
Well I have 3 other webcams, but I hate having a piece of hardware lying around the house that I can’t get to work. It bugs me.
Also, if I can get the drivers maybe I can pass the webcam onto one of my friends that doesn’t have one!

The drivers are for a VIMICRO USB PC 301x.

Thanks for the pictures. Unfortunately I don’t know of any forums for searching for unknown drivers for unknown equipment.
Here’s a thought! If you know anybody with a linux box ask them to try it (or set up a distro on a partition). If it’s recognized in *nix then you’ll know what to search for when tracking down windows drivers.
Good thinking, now I just need to find a friend with Linux.

I recently bought an Offsping webcam and tries to install it on Windows Vista. It installed everything, but when I connected the camera, it said it could not successfuly install the drivers due to “insufficient space” My laptop is huge and brand new, and I don’t see that I could be lacking in any department. Can anyone please help me?
It could be many things Rouse. In Vista were you installing as an admin? Are you sure the drivers are Vista compatible?
Without more information it is hard difficult to diagnose the problem..

The name printed on the cam is nstel… Win xp recognizes it as PC Camera….. Please help me…..
