SplashCast lets you stream PPT and PDF
That flash Splashcast player I’ve got on my Podcast page just got better. Now, the SplashCast player can be used to stream Text, PowerPoint presentations and PDF files so they can be viewed securley without the user getting their grubby little mits on the orginals!
Using SplashCast’s Flash-based player, you can securely distribute (viewers will not be able to download) your PPT and PDF’s as well as mix in other media items, such as video, photos, background music, and even audio narration.
When you add an item to a SplashCast show, you will see that there is a new option called Docs that was previously called Text. When you click the Docs button, you now have 3 options:
1. Text - This feature, which existed previously, enables you to compose text and add links to external URLs directly in SplashCast.
2. PowerPoint - Upload your Powerpoint presentation and SplashCast will convert each each slide into an image item and add them to your show automatically. You can then re-arrange the order of slides, add audio narration for each slide and even mix other media items, such as photos or video, amongst the slides to create your final show.
3. PDF - Upload your PDF file and each page will be converted automatically into an image item and added to your show (similar to the PowerPoint upload).
