Is Twitters email format costing you followers?
I was clearing out the list of folks I follow on Twitter today (the dead accounts, marketers etc..) when I got to thinking about the emails that both Twitter and FriendFeed send out when you subscribe to someone (or they subscribe to you).
Look at the two images below. The first is the email I received from Twitter when @moxygen followed me today and the second, is from FriendFeed when shravan subscribed to my account.
Take a good look at both pictures and tell me if you agree that the emails from Twitter are so sparse that you’re unlikely to follow somebody back. You’re more likely to just ignore the email!
Yet FriendFeeds email provides you with a wealth of information that can sway you into hitting that “subscribe back” button.
