I’ve decided to go completely Microsoft for a few weeks (or at least until I pull my hair out) by switching to IE9 as my default browser, using Outlook 2010 for my email, Live Messenger instead of Pidgin etc…
Alas, it looks my plan is doomed from the start because 7 months after Google Calendar Sync was updated to support Outlook 2010 it still doesn’t work with the 64-bit version.
I know it’s not Microsoft’s fault, so I’m not mad at them, but I do fear I’ll have to rethink my experiment as I can’t live without my calendars, some of which are shared with other people.
You guys know of any sync solutions that will work for the 64-bit version of Outlook 2010?
Something that would do this without having to be under an admin account would score double points, I can’t edit my google calendar at work in Outlook!
That would be awesome too

I have been waiting for many months for a release that would be compatible with Outlook 64 bit but they have never released it.Out of exasperation I asked a programmer to develop a software to do such a thing. It will be distributed freeware, donations will hopefully keep the project running
.
At the moment we just released the first beta version. It can be downloaded at the blog I have created for the purpose at

For comments and feedbacks please use the following forum

Thanks for that. I’ll test out the beta when I get a chance and pass on the word
Hi Paul, You’re welcome, Please post any errors you should receive since we are still in beta testing phase!
Thank you for spreading the word!

you could use gsyncit… you’d have to pay a bit, but it works ok
How about getting a windows live calendar, syncing that with outlook and syncing is also with google calendar. Long winded I know.
I’m actually doing that at the moment David and the only major problem with it is the lack of bi-directional syncing.

Thanks for that Toubi. I’ll give it a shot

Thanks for the update Mark, that’s awesome
Hooray! FINALLY a worrking solution to the Outlook 10, 64 bit Google sync dilemna:
Thanks so much, Mark~
It still sucks for, as Google states: it will not sync your secondary calendars.
I am using win7 64bit, Outlook 2010 32bit and Google calendar Sync. It works most of the time, but seems to stall, and sometimes outlook will not start unless I kill google sync. Just found CompanionLink for Outlook and will give it a test, they say it will run all 64bit. http://www.companionlink.com/outlook/?gclid=CILrn5G0464CFakERQodxRXWYQ
