Wait, two rules?
Wait, two rules?
Apparently there was some confusion about the header image of this site, where people thought the zombie creature chasing the man was supposed to bechasing me.
Actually, the images was a take on the “Caution, zombies may be flammable” meme, so I’ve added a little colour and some text to the header so that it can no longer be mistaken for Sara (although she does have red hair these days 😛 ).
Here’s a side by side for comparison, so can see what
Sara the zombie creature looked like previously and how it does now.
I’m a huge Nirvana fan. Their music was part of the “formative” years of my actually having musical taste and back in the day I used to attempt to make myself deaf as I listened to bootlegged tapes of their early work, volume turned to maximum as I trudge to and from school.
Needless to say there was obvious trepidation when I came across a video of actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt (3rd Rock from the Sun, Inception) covering “Lithium” at the Neptune Theater in Seattle.
Thankfully, it’s a damn good cover.
I came across this video while reading about the performance impact of earthquakes on hard drives and websites. Yes, I am that boring.
What you will see in the video below applies to you folks at home too and especially to angry gamers.
If you really want to eek every bit of performance out of your gaming rig (especially if you’ve got a surround sound system with serious bass and you like to crank things up) then you really need to start using anti-vibration grommets when securing your hard drives.
Better yet, switch to solid state drives 😉
While I think the roll out of the new galleries for twitter are years overdue, it would be nice if they did not display images which were linked in tweets I’ve retweeted as being mine.
For example, this image which was linked in an status update which I retweeted from @SyFy appears on my profile as if I posted it. It’s only when you click on the image that it can be seen that it’s a retweet.
While this is very much a “first world problem” gripe with twitter, I feel that it misrepresents me if the gallery shows images I haven’t actually posted.
While I may feel that a post is worthy of a retweet (and in this case I retweeted it because it was a competition), that doesn’t mean that I wish to have that image associated with my gallery forever.
